Left to Right:  (1) Beaumont, Texas, where we had dinner at the Spindletop Restaurant - shown on the corner
of this pedestrian only street, (2) there were many huge oil refineries between Beaumont and Houston, (3)
downtown Houston, and (4 & 5) Roxana and me posing at the Battleship Texas - This is the “Last surviving
battleship patterned after HMS Dreadnought and it fought extensively in WWI and WWII.
Left to Right:  (1) When I arrived in downtown San Antonio this evening a river boat parade was in progress on
the Riverwalk as part of “Fiesta San Antonio,” (2) daytime on the Riverwalk - water taxis going by, (3) a
mariachi band serenading a group having lunch, (4) the highlight for me of San Antonio was The Alamo.  What
was once the Church is now the Shrine dedicated to those who perished in this battle for Texas independence in
1836, there is a Marine Corps Band getting ready to play at the Alamo Plaza, immediately in front of the Shrine.
& (5 & 6) The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum - this place has a feel of the Wild West with its oversized wood
bar and many stuffed animals and antlers attached to the walls, I think I've got him ... (ha)
